Voiceworks 'Spectre' Lurks Among Us
Voiceworks #125 themed ‘Spectre’ is right behind you… you can see it just in the corner of your eye!! Join us at 3PM AEDT, Tuesday 22 February on the Express Media YouTube channel to sneak a peek at our new issue and discover the secrets within!
Launching with the mag are a series of postcards by Tasmanian artists, responding to pieces from ‘Spectre’. To go with the physical postcards as the travel across the world, these artists have also prepared video postcards of the spaces they were sent from, also debuting at the launch.
This blockbuster launch will feature readings from Yael Grunseit, Carlos Hasham, Sandra Kallarakkal and Svetlana Sterlin, and video postcards from Rebecca Bannister, Corinna Howell, Jade Irvine and Miranda Rogers.
'Spectre' Postcards
Corinna Howell (24) is a Japanese-Tasmanian artist living and working in Hobart. She completed her studies at the University of Tasmania in 2019, and describes herself as a portrait/genre painter.

Miranda Rogers (29) is a Tasmanian artist. Trained in printmaking, she loves working with paper. Miranda has made zines about friendship, space travel, swimming, mental health and during 2020 made a collection of diary mini zines.

Jade Irvine (24) is an artist and writer living in nipaluna/Hobart. Her creative work
encompasses two main themes, conveying a sense of place through landscape, and
working to re-examine her cultural identity. Jade is currently researching small
museums for her Honours thesis, and enjoys spending time in the kitchen
experimenting with vegetables. To see what she has been painting / pickling

Rebecca Bannister (23) is an artist studying to be a primary school teacher. She loves painting, drawing, reading and hanging out with animals!
